The recommended regular time to exercise is at least 30 to 45 minutes a day. Somehow, it won’t be that possible due to busy schedule at work or school. Yet, it is not a bad thing to try having a workout twice or thrice a week. Here are some easy and simple ways on how you can stretch your arms and legs despite your hectic routine.
When You are At Home…
A 5-Minute Walk
You surely can afford to take 5 minutes of your time to walk down the streets. Just enjoy the natural, refreshing air would be a great start of your morning or how to end a productive day at night. Doing this twice or thrice a week plus other easy workouts is not too much.
A Hundred of Jumping Jacks
Several jumps for a few minutes can burn a large amount of calories. This won’t require you a lot of time. A 5 to 10-minute workout doing this or if you prefer 100 to 200 jumping jacks would be great. And yes, you can just have this routine 2 or 3 times. If you want more, then that’s a whole lot better!
A 10-Minute Run or Bike Riding
Wherever community you are, there is probably a path for some running or riding a bicycle. Twice a week of doing so, let’s say during the weekends, won’t be so much. If you have a treadmill or recumbent bike, that is way better. You do not need to go out of your house, which gives you motivation to do it more often.
10 Reps of Sit Ups or Push Ups
If you are cooking for dinner, this is your opportunity to sneak out for a little exercise. It may also be during the time you are waiting for a package you’ve purchased online. No matter what you do, a few reps of push-ups on the wall or sit ups on the flooring would be a great way to help you stay fit.
A Series of Dance Steps
During laundry in your house, pave your way to dance. Even though you do not have the talent when you shake your body from head to toe, it is an excellent solution to boost your energy and stimulate your cells. And not to mention, dancing like a fool and crazy is fun! Just make sure your neighbors do not get to see you, because even a glimpse from your family member can make their brows crease.
A Round Play of Frisbee or Badminton
Go to the beach once a week to have fun and exercise. Just bring a pair of badminton or a single Frisbee and play with your kids. You will not only enjoy a great moment with your precious children, but also burn fat and calories in fast time!
While At Work…
Several Steps on the Stair
Sitting for 5 to 7 hours a day in the office can be a pain, literally! So, avoid chasing time riding in the elevator. If you are not late, opt for the stairway. Try walking up to four to five floors before you can hit the elevator if in case you still have a long way to reach your desk.
A Quick Bike Ride
Why don’t you bring your mountain bike everytime you go for work. It does not mean you have to set your car aside in the garage and make it idle. If you have extra space on top of your sedan, then you have a way to ride your bike when going to the deli during lunch break at work.
A Block between the Office and the Parking Area
It is also a good idea if you park your vehicle a block or two away from the main building of your office or business location. This gives you a reason to take some extra walk everytime you check in and out for work.
