That moment when your eyes and forehead feel pain due to heat, over stress, and other triggers. I’m obviously talking about migraine, and this is definitely a condition that is not bearable at most times. While most just go into a dark place and close their eyes or take a nap, there are other several ways on how you can treat migraine. These are also solutions to prevent having migraine or lessen the frequency of it.
1. Stop Eating Trigger Foods and Drinks
Certain foods and beverages must be avoided in order to alleviate migraine. These include nuts, yoghurt, mayonnaise, eggs, and other dairy products. Fermented foods and those with more or heavy yeast are other culprits, too. You also stay away from flavorings and products with monosodium glutamate or MSG and sulfites. For beverages, do not drink milk, coffee, alcohol, and others with caffeine.

The best and healthiest way to combat migraine is to eat the right kinds of foods. You need to absorb vitamin B-6, vitamin B-12, magnesium, ribovlavin, omega-3 fatty acids, and coenzyme Q10. You can have these nutrients from certain fruits, vegetables, and fish. That means you eat a lot of foods that contain these vitamins and minerals not only when you have migraine, but also on a daily routine.
3. Drink More Water
Water is a good solution against dehydration. Sometimes, you experience severe headache because of heat. It means you are dehydrated, so just have cold water to beat it.
4. Get Herbal Remedies
Whether in teas, essential oil, or bath, herbal treatment can relieve pain caused by migraine. You feel much better when exposed to herbs as there are properties that can heal and cure aches. It is best that you consult a doctor to know the right herbs to take for you.

5. Sleep More
Sleep deprivation is one trigger of migraine. You need to regulate your hours of sleep in order to avoid headaches. It is not also advisable to oversleep, because the more you get headache in that case. Instead, you sleep at the right and same time for at least 7 to 9 hours. This can rejuvenate your energy and boost your immune system, which ultimately prevent having migraines.
6. Exercise Regularly
Make sure that you also have a regular workout. You can go to the gym for 30 minutes a day or find some home exercises that you can do for several times a week. This is a healthy habit that does not only provide benefits against migraine, but also give you optimum health.
7. Try Yoga
Stress is one cause of migraine, and this is something you get most of the time. What you need to do then is to do some yoga and just relax. You are able to reduce or prevent migraine when you are able to de-stress.

8. Wear Hat and Sunglasses
Remember that sunlight and heat can give you headaches. You must wear a pair of sunglasses everytime you go out under the sun. It is also helpful if you add a cap or hat to protect you from ultraviolet rays and to keep you away from migraine.
There is no permanent cure against migraine, but you can always prevent or lessen its attack. You already have this list of remedies, so the only left thing to do is to follow them.
