Skin Care Tips for Busy Moms

Are you a mother of two small children? Do you fully stay at home taking care of your kids? Or maybe are you a mother but also works in the office? Whichever you stand, a mother must not forget to take care of your own.

Despite the hours of house chores or office work, every mother deserves a special treat and care for her skin. If you consider yourself a busy mother, here are different ways on how to take good care of your skin and maintain a healthy, glowing and younger-looking skin.

1. Visit the Salon

Your first stop in regards to taking care of yourself, especially skin, should be the salon. Have a few hours off to get manicure and pedicure. Those busy hands need a little reward. Scrub treatment may be also a good option for you, and this is offered in a salon.

2. Make a Facial Mask

To maintain a youthful and glowing face, apply a mask. It is recommended that you use all natural ingredients. There are many fruits that you can blend and mix together to create a mask for face and neck. They contain essential vitamins and minerals that help remove bacteria and toxins in the face, as well as give a smoother and healthier effect.

A blend of avocado, honey and almonds is a good choice. This formula of facial mask is able to improve the skin to become healthier. It reduces wrinkles and lines. It also prevents the formation of bacteria that may become acne or pimple. If you want to maintain a flawless facial skin, ensure to have a natural mask.

3. Cleanse Face and Neck with Lemon

Get some lemons and squeeze them. This is another formula that helps maintain a good and healthy skin. Dab a piece of cotton and apply to all over your face and neck. You can use this as a cleanser after a long day of work at home or in the office. It is a good solution for removing make-up, too. Instead of the usual chemically formulated make-up remover, have a natural cleaning solution.

4. Apply Sunscreen Lotion

You may have all the time spent inside your house or in the office for work or business. Once you get out, you are obviously exposed to sun. Even if it takes you only a few minutes to go out under the sun, do not forget to apply lotion that has SPF. You need to protect your skin from the ultraviolet (UV) rays of the sun, too. This is most applied on your skin if you have to go to the beach with your children during summer.

5. Shower for at Least Two Times a Day

The most basic way of taking care of one’s skin is taking a good shower. Of course, you won’t forget to bathe, but make it at least twice in a day. You will have a much softer and smoother skin if you clean once in the morning and another at noon or in the evening right before going to bed. This is effective in removing dirt and preventing the buildup of bacteria on skin.

6. Eat More Fruits and Vegetables

Other than external application of natural solutions, consuming fruits and vegetables is one other means to have a healthier skin. There are lots of vegetables and fruits that contain antioxidant properties, which help fight cellular damage, prevent anti-aging and detoxify the body. The side effect of antioxidants is whiter and blemish-free skin. Don’t you want to have a much better looking skin despite the number of children you are taking care of?

The list of fruits and vegetables that are rich in essential nutrients, including antioxidants, are tomatoes, papaya, avocado, broccoli, spinach, kale, lettuce, garlic, and bell peppers (red and yellow). You must include these foods to your daily diet. Many fruits can be made into smoothie that you can sip during your beak from doing the laundry or when you are waiting for the dish to get cooked.

A mother who is busy must never ignore to take care of herself, too. While she attends most of her time to her children, house chores, and even work, every mom needs to have a good and healthy skin. Do not allow stress that you receive all day to spoil your skin, because that can easily form wrinkles and spots. You do not want to age sooner than you thought. So, ensure to follow the suggested tips regarding how to take care of skin.
